Miss Independent

Avery is so independent these days. She wants to do everything by herself. She points to herself and says "Adee!, Adee!" (that is how she says Avery...it's so cute!) She is so over us feeding her anything (which results in giant messes), she's trying to dress herself, brushing her own teeth, and she's even started to help herself to food in the pantry. She came walking out with a bag of pretzels the other day (that were subsequently dumped alllll over the floor!). She looooves telling us no, even to things she actually wants (i.e. cookies, going bye bye, etc). We give her choices of food, drink, etc, and she chooses one, then as soon as she gets it, says she wants the other one. She is definitely exercising her newly discovered independence! I wouldn't have it any other way! ;)

We are loving every second of this amazing weather. Avery loves being outside, especially playing in her little pool. Her favorite activity is picking grass, looking at her hands, saying "messy!" then washing them in her pool, drying them on her towel, and saying "all clean!"

Poor Aves had strep throat last week. :( A couple days on antibiotics and she's good as new. She's such a little trooper.
